
PROCEDURE
The skin lesion may be biopsied (partially removed and sent for
laboratory evaluation/diagnosis) or totally removed after initial anesthetic
followed either by a shave, excision or incision and removal.
If the biopsy suggests malignancy (cancer), a more extensive surgical
removal may be contemplated.
The surgical site
usually heals within 2-6 weeks.
